Indy Eleven Game and Date Night with Lindsay and Reese

We won a set of tickets to an Indy Eleven game (Indy's professional soccer team) through a silent auction at Reese's school and we cashed them in (along with a bunch of people from my office) for a game this past weekend.

We got a babysitter for Palmer and took Reese to the game, but we headed to The Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner beforehand. He was really excited to have a grown-up meal with us.

As you can probably tell from those clouds, the game didn't stay dry for too long. We made it until about 20 minutes into the game - and one goal from the Indy Eleven - until a 2-hour lightening delay.

Before all the clouds rolled in Reese got to draw his own sign for the game to wave in case the team scored a goal.

So excited for the game to start!

We had great seats, right behind the East Goal, but the speakers were right behind us and were a little loud.

Reese's treat: a slushie from the game right before it started pouring.

We had a great "date night" with our nearly-6-year-old, and he really seemed to enjoy spending time with just us, but he mentioned missing Palmer several times while we were out and even insisted on checking in on Palmer when we got home (around 9 at night - much later than he typically stays up).

Palmerisms:

We just got the bounce house out again after being put away for a few months and Palmer now calls it the "Bounce Hounce"
