This past weekend was a pretty adventurous weekend. We started off with some AMAZING barbecue at City Barbecue in Carmel where Reese tried (and really liked) some of the sausage from the restaurant.
Over the weekend Reese also discovered that he likes queso and shrimp - two things I never thought he'd enjoy.
On Saturday night we headed to the Summer Social, a fundraising block party for the Catholic Church and School just down the street from our house. We go every summer and the boys really had fun this year. They were both tired on the way home, so they rode home in the stroller together.
At the Summer Social, they got to play a bunch of fun carnival-style games and they won eyepatches.
...and Reese got a mustache :)
Sunday was an adventure as well. Palmer was walking around the living room with a blanket on his head pretending to be a ghost and he tripped and smacked his head on a dresser.
90 minutes and 2 stitches later, he was feeling better, but now has a scar to match the ones that Lindsay and I each received when we were about his age.
Reese has been going to swimming lessons at Goldfish Swim School for about a month and made some great progress today, swimming 10 feet with no assistance!
Reeseism:
Reese and I were in the car on the way to school a little while ago and, out of nowhere, he said this:
"Sometime when I'm older - like 20 or 15 - when I'm out on my own, I'm going to Snapchat things that I find interesting and send them to you. But, I'd need a phone to do that. How old do I have to be to get a phone?"
So it begins...
Palmerism:
I was putting Palmer to bed a few days ago and asked if there was anything he wanted me to pray for. He looked up at me with his finger in his nose and said: "picking my boogers".
