Fun at the Carmel Library (and Palmer Playing Harmonica) [VIDEO]

This morning we went up to Carmel with some friends and visited the Carmel Library for a kid's carnival 0-5 year olds got to do fun activities with music, reading, science and more.

Reese and Palmer were both really excited to meet Pete the Cat as we first arrived:

There was a children's singer who kicked the morning off with some songs:

Reese and his friend, C, had fun at the crafts table:

And Reese has been doing more drawing lately:

Palmer's favorite part was doing puzzles. He and I worked on several together:

Reese had fun dressing up while we were at the library.

And here's a quick video of Palmer playing harmonica (he calls it "Monica!") and a little hide and seek recently. I don't think he gets the concept of "hide and seek" quite yet :)

Reeseisms:

Tonight as I was putting Reese to bed, we had quite the conversation:
Reese: "Can you teach me how to shave my whiskers so I don't cut my face up?"
Me: "When you get older, I'll definitely teach you how to shave."
Reese: "Actually, can you teach me how to grow whiskers? Because I want a mustache and a beard."

This week Reese accidentally left Sven and Jack at school one day and he was pretty upset as he went to bed that night. We said we'd have to get him the next morning and Reese said: "But he's my #1 best pal!". All ended well, he slept great and we got Sven and Jack the next morning :)

From early in August:

Palmer had been saying "Why?" all the time and it started to bug Reese. He said: "Palmer, stop saying 'why', it's really freaking me out!"

"Hey, is it possible to freak in?"

After accidentally kicking Lindsay in the face with a beach ball, he checked on her and said "your cheeks are red, but that's just from your hotness."

From earlier in June:

Mom: "You have to keep your light saber on the floor of the car"
Reese: "Aye aye Captain" (in a muffled voice)

Mom: Reese, you need to go to the bathroom, you obviously have to go."
Reese: (exasperated) "Mom, you're unbelievable!"

Palmerisms:

Palmer has been telling everyone he loves them lately. One day after he told each of us he loved us and we responded back, he said: "Reesey say I love you Palmer, Yay! Whoo hoo!"

He got a little plush Chick-fil-A cow and I asked him what the cow says. He said: "Moo! More eat chicken!"

We took a walk the other day around the neighborhood and saw a white cat with black spots. When Palmer saw the cat he pointed and said "little cow!"

From earlier in July:

We visted Grand Rapids in July and Reese called it Grand Rabbits. While we were there, we visited the Frederick Meijer gardens and they have an enormous horse statue there, so whenever Palmer saw or heard a horse he would say "Horse! Rabbits!"

Putting him to bed one night, he said: "So nice meet you". I asked him where he heard that and he said: "Frohna" (how he said Frozen).
