Palmer's 2nd Birthday Party and Mini-Vacation to Columbus, IN

I can't believe Palmer is already 2! We decided to do something a little bit different for his birthday this year. We had a small low-key birthday party with Cici and Bo and decided to take a mini-vacation to Columbus that was all about Palmer (here are pictures from his 1st birthday party)

Palmer only asked for 3 things for his birthday this year: A piano, cake and a birthday hat. I made the birthday hat for him:

Palmer is obsessed with animals and he really loves dogs, so we threw him a dog-themed birthday party.

Lindsay did a great job with everyone's dog ears

Palmer got some great birthday presents:

Even Reese loved playing with them:

Happy Birthday to Palmer!

The boys loved celebrating with Cici and Bo

We took a trip to Columbus, IN for a mini-vacation and stayed at the Hotel Indigo. They even have a dog who lives at the hotel, Miles. Palmer loved it!

We went for a walk around the downtown park when we got there.

We ate breakfast at Hangar 5, a restaurant located at the Columbus airport where we were able to see a couple planes take off. Of course, Palmer wanted to take some pictures with silly faces:

After breakfast we checked out The Commons and a huge indoor playground.

After that was kidscommons, the Columbus Children's Museum. Both boys had a blast playing there.

Palmer had a great time at his party and on our vacation and so did we!

Palmer Updates:

- Starting to make short sentences
- He wants to do everything Reese does
- He loves anything Cars or Planes
- He is fully embracing his status as a 2 year old by having an opinion about everything

Reeseisms:

I brought Reese to school one day and asked if he wanted to take the stairs or the ramp up to the front doors. His response: "I think the ramp would be more pleasant!"

Reese went with Lindsay for Palmer's 2-year checkup at the pediatrician. Palmer was having a hard time sitting still and was fussing quite a bit. After they left the Doctor's office, Reese said: "Palmer just needs to be in the wild. I mean the animal wild"

Palmerisms:

At Hotel Indigo, they had a big tic-tac-toe board the boys were playing with. Palmer really enjoyed it, but he kept calling it "tic-tac-tock"
