We had a really great Mother's Day Weekend despite scattered storms throughout the weekend.
One of Lindsay's bridesmaids, Kate, and her family came to visit for the weekend from Chicago. They have a daughter that's Reese's age and a son Palmer's age so the kids were in heaven getting to play with some new friends.
The Magnatiles were a HUGE hit and the kids played so well together.
After a busy afternoon of playing inside and outside, the kids were tuckered out and vegged in front of the TV while the grownups chatted.
That evening, we went out for an adults-only dinner with our friends from Group. We started getting together for weekly dinners not long after we moved to Indy in 2006, but with 6 kids between the three couples now, we don't see each other as often as we used to - and almost never without kids. It was a great night of good food and fantastic company.
We woke up on Mother's Day morning and visited Kate's family at their hotel. All four kids thought swimming was the best thing in the world!
Every good swimming session deserves a snack break:
After swimming we dropped by Piada for the traditional Mother's Day spaghetti :)
We had a wonderful time with Kate and her family and all week the boys have kept asking if we can play with them again.
