Winter Weekend in South Haven

We just got back from a weekend up in South Haven. Even though we all love Lake Michigan in the summer, there's something relaxing about visiting the cottage in the dead of winter

We spent Saturday up in Grand Rapids so Lindsay could visit her friend Molly and Molly's new baby, Caleb. While they visited, Reese and I headed to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. While it's not nearly as big as The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, there were some really great things there and Reese and I had a wonderful time.

He was so excited about walking on the stilts. Even though he couldn't get more than a couple steps at a time without falling, he had fun.

Reese's favorite part of GRCM was the bubbles. Lindsay even remembered the bubble station from when she went to GRCM back in the day.

Palmer was such a trooper throughout the weekend with three straight days of traveling, but I think he enjoyed his first visit to the cottage (and the third state he's visited so far).

The best part of the weekend was my pancakes, if I do say so myself ;)

Lindsay and Molly had a great visit together

Palmer and Caleb won't remember the first time they met, but we do have photographic proof of it!

We even got to make a fire in a real life fireplace. You can tell that Lindsay and Reese enjoyed themselves.

Palmer even got to try sitting up by himself a bit (this lasted for about 1.3 seconds before he fell flat on his face).

Palmer just can't wait to go back to the cottage.
