Nice weekend at Geist

The past few weeks have been full of 70 degree days and 40 degree days, so when we found out that Sunday was supposed to be nearly 80, we knew we wanted to head to my parents' place on Geist to spend the day.

We headed over after church for lunch and nap time before getting a chance to hang out outside for a while.

My dad came home from the store a couple weeks ago with a little fishing rod for Reese and he was very excited for them to be able to fish together. They've fished a couple of times when Reese goes out to their house on Wednesdays, but this was the first time Lindsay and I got to see him go fishing.

Reese actually reeled in the biggest fish of the day and was very excited to catch (and touch) the fish.

Reese has also turned a corner when it comes to the boat. During the summer when Reese turned 1, he loved going for boat rides, but last summer, he was freaked out by the boat and wouldn't go near it. Something must have changed over the winter, though, because he's been asking to go on a boat ride al the time.

We got the chance to all head out on the boat for a few minutes on a slow ride around and Reese loved it.

On top of boating and fishing, Reese got to feed some ducks that swam by. For some reason, he named the ducks "Alice the Camel" and "Nathalie". We have a strange kid ;)
