Summer Fun

It's been a while since we blogged and we've had quite a busy summer. Lindsay started a full-time instructor position at Butler at the end of August, so, in addition to teaching a couple of summer classes, she's been busy getting things ready for all five of her classes.

Even with all that going on we've been able to have quite a bit of fun this summer.

We only got the giraffe pool out a few times this year (this July-August was WAY too hot), but Reese really loved it when we got to play in his pool.

Lindsay made some activity bags full of fun things to play with - from handmade "books" with stickers and crayons, to nuts and bolts to play with - Reese has really enjoyed sitting at his table to "do an activity!"

Don't worry, we did make it to the Indiana State Fair this year. We actually went a couple times. Here's Reese and me with a goat.

Reese got to sit on a tractor - he loved that.

And he got to do the Little Hands on the Farm exhibit at the State Fair - it's bascially a place for kids to walk through and pick up eggs, vegetables and other things at the beginning, put them in their pails and drop them off at specific places later on the trail. Here he is with an egg and his pail early along the trail.

And a little later with his new hat going to pick out an apple.

He really loved riding on the little tractors.

Aunt Nathalie and Cousin Elliot came to visit my parent's place this summer and we went over to hang out and swim a bit. She made a great Auburn swim diaper for Reese and he enjoyed modeling it for us in the pool.

It was a great summer, but we're definitely looking forward to cooler weather.
