Reese needed a time out today because he was jumping on his slide after we told him not to. So he had his time out then I explained to him why he was in time out and asked him to say "Sorry Daddy", here's how thy conversation went:
Me: you need to say "sorry daddy"
Reese: sorry
Me: not just sorry, you need to say "sorry daddy"
Reese: sorry
Me: no, say both
Reese: both
