We certainly couldn't let a good visit from my parents to waste without some type of project so we decided to tackle the living room. It's been the same RED color since we moved in (the previous owner painted it) and it really did go well with our stuff but it was starting to feel really dark so we thought we might give it a little face-lift. 4 gallons of paint and 25 trips to Lowes later, this is the result.

It still needs a few more details but some of the accesorizing will have to wait little hands get a lot bigger. The color is reading a bit more grey here than it does in the room. It has a pretty strong blue undertone but looks different depending on daylight or lamps. Overall we're very happy with it and now we'll see if it keeps us motivated to tackle the dining room too!
