2010 Indiana State Fair

To celebrate our true Hoosier-ness we made several trips to the State Fair this year.  Reese certainly seemed to enjoy himself and we even dragged Cici and Grandpa along one day.  With so much deep fried goodness, we needed to spread things out a little bit.  Since the fairgrounds are less than 10 minutes from our house, it's easy to pop in a for a few hours here and there.  We love this annual tradition!

It doesn't get more Indiana than this - an IU shirt (Thanks Claire) and a John Deere Tractor!
Petting the pygmy goats.....they wanted to nibble Reese's fingers
Reese is posing with one of the giant pumpkins.  Believe it or not, this bad boy didn't even place in the top 3.
First taste of deep fried veggies....welcome to the Fair, Reese!

I was coerced intro trying the Krispy Kreme Burger (that's a bacon cheeseburger with all the fixings grilled between two Krispy Kreme donuts).  I have to say it's wasn't as bad as I thought....also notice the sign for Deep Fried Butter in the background.
I think Cici and Grandpa had a pretty good "first time" experience at the fair and now that they've been to the Indy 500 and the State Fair, I guess you can officially call them Hoosiers.
