Officially fall starts tomorrow but around here we've decided to celebrate. Yesterday we put up some fall decorations. Hopefully a trip to the farmer's market next weekend will bring a few real pumpkins to add to the collection.
In the spirit of the season we also decided to tackle some homemade applesauce. We picked the apples last weekend in Michigan and plan to freeze it for Reese when he starts solids in a few months. Jeremy was in charge of the peeling, slicing and coring. Mostly he wanted to use the cool kitchen gadget.
Just call me Martha!
And voila, you have fresh, homemade applesauce. Except we tasted it and it's really good and now we're not so sure Reese should get all the goods. So we may be making another batch soon.
And last but not least, in honor of fall, I finally got my hair cut. Short and curly = a hair style I can do in five minutes. Kind of a necessity these days.
