Connor Prairie

We were supposed to have Reese's 3 month pictures taken Saturday morning but had to postpone because of weather. Turns out, it was a free day at Connor Prairie, a living history museum just north of Indianapolis. They have an entire village from 1836, complete with reenactors. The balloon is a new attraction that let's you get a bird's eye view of the city. We'll have to try it out when Reese is a little older.
Reese and Jeremy check out the Lanape Indian settlement. Did you know that felted hats were made from the undercoat of a beaver?
Reese and I checked out the baby animals in the barn. They had calves less than two weeks old but it was hard to get a picture since all the kids wanted to pet them. We settled for a shot on the saddle instead.
One of my former students is a reenactor at Connor Prairie. Poor Janae was surprised when she saw me but did such a good job of not breaking character. But we did sneak in a quick picture of her and Reese.
