August Weekend Adventures

We've had some fun over the past few weekends in August.

To kick the month off, Lindsay put together a great menu of Brazilian dishes that we ate on the evening of the Olympic Opening Ceremonies. We had cheesy popover breads, a delicious beans and sausage dish and some amazing Brazilian "lemonade".

Reese went to a birthday party for a good friend of his

We've also been exploring libraries in Indy for the past few weekends. The boys enjoyed the kids area at the Brownsburg Library a few weeks ago.

Just further proof that Palmer loves all animals. We stopped for ice cream after work and school on Friday and Palmer was way more interested in the chickens next door than the ice cream. We've since passed the chicken while we're driving and Palmer has named her "Noble Earl".

We've also been exploring State Parks this month (Thanks to 12 Stars Media for the annual pass!). This week, we went to Mounds State Park in Anderson and had a great hike and got to see some ancient Native American mounds. It was pretty cool.
