Spring Break - Part 2

The boys had a two-week long Spring Break and while I went back to work after our first trip to Michigan, we headed up to Chicago at the end of Spring Break to visit Uncle Grant, Aunt Claire and Baby Vale.

Reese was pretty excited to hold his newest cousin.

Even though it was pretty cold in Chicago, we still had fun visiting museums. The buffalo at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Lincoln Park was even wearing it's raincoat.

Palmer and I had colds, so instead of meeting Baby Vale, we hung out at the park down the street.

We spent the night in the heart of the city in River North

And finally got to try Shake Shack - It was amazing.

The next morning, we headed to the Museum of Science and Industry on our way out of town.

One of the highlights of the trip? Seeing baby chicks!

The boys were super excited to get their Space Ship Scepters/Swords.

Oh, and we saw this car on the way home. Apparently they were participating in the Chop Top Challenge and driving all the way to Miami.

Although it was official after our Spring Break, Taylor and Natalie came to visit during his spring break and the boys had a blast playing Tic Tac Toe.

Palmer, patiently waiting for the coffee to brew

We also had our first swimming lesson of the year. Reese took lessons at Goldfish Swim School last year, but this was Palmer's first official swimming lesson and he loved it.

We played some Wii bowling and the boys pulled out a team win over Lindsay and I!

Palmerism:

Lindsay started walking without her crutches over Spring Break and as she was walking to the table at dinner one night, Palmer raised his hands in the air and cheered for Lindsay: "Go, Mom, Go! Go, Mom, Go!"

Reesism:

I was tasting my make-at-home Bourbon and I made a comment that it still tasted a bit Vodka-y. Reese then says: "It tastes like Bob Kitty?"
