Our 10th Anniversary Trip - #Caliversary [VIDEO]

Since our Anniversary is always right around Thanksgiving, Lindsay and I have never really taken any anniversary trips actually on our anniversary. For our first several anniversaries we would take trips in January or around Spring Break to nearby cities (St. Louis, Chicago, Memphis).

This year, for our 10th Anniversary, we decided to go big and take a trip out to California - our #Caliversary.

We flew into LAX on a Saturday and immediately drove a couple hours up the coast to Santa Barbara, which was amazing.

Here's a video of our trip - it's about 10 minutes long.

Santa Barbara is still beautiful at night:

Obligatory panoramic of the beach and Santa Barbara

We made a pit stop at Pismo Beach on our way up Highway 1 to Cambria

The gorgeous view from our balcony in Cambria. Yep, that's the Pacific ocean right across the street.

Another beautiful shot from Cambria

We stopped at the Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery and it was so cool seeing them up close!

One of my big goals was being able to see some Redwoods up close. Mission accomplished!

We drove a one-lane road from Highway 1 in Big Sur down to Pfeiffer Beach and it was truly amazing.

On our way back down to L.A. we drove the 101 through Edna Valley and stopped at some great wineries.

We finally made it to Disneyland! While most of our trip was great weather in the 60s and 70s, the two full days we spent at Disneyland were 95° and 105°!

We had a fantastic custom-made 5-course dinner at the Chef's Counter at Napa Rose in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel.

I was really impressed with Disney's California Adventure park and liked it more than I thought I would.

The highlight of our Disney trip was definitely visiting Cars Land and being the first people of the day to ride on the Radiator Springs Racers.

We even got to meet Stanley.

A trip to Disney isn't complete without fireworks.

We had a fantastic #Caliversary trip and we both want to get back to California as soon as we can.
