Labor Day in South Haven

We headed back up to South Haven over a warm Labor Day weekend. Even though it was a bit hotter than we expected in Michigan, we had a lot of fun.

The boys got to check out the South Beach Pier for the first time and it was a big hit.

We also explored St. Joseph and the boys had a really fun time checking out the Curious Kids' Museum:

The boys also loved playing in the big splash pad down near Silver Beach. Palmer's favorite part was the Minion Duck.

Reese did a great job on the climbing wall and climbed it like a natural.

The boys got thrown in the slammer.

In one of the biggest surprises of the weekend, Reese tried (and loved) ribs!

A trip to South Haven in the summer isn't complete without a trip to the beach.

We all had a great time picking blackberries and raspberries. We had fun, but they were also delicious!

Palmerisms:

I asked Palmer what he wanted for his birthday and he said: "I want a pink scooter, a big boy room, and a cupcake!"

At preschool the other day, Palmer was laying down for cot time and he suddenly announced: "Excuse me, Miss Standifer drives a Dodge Car!" (He's really been into identifying cars: Lindsay drives a Toyota Car, I drive a Honda Car, etc.)

I was holding Palmer at Sherman's and he asked me:
Palmer: "Dad, do you have a baby in your tummy?"
Me: "No, I don't Palmer"
Palmer: "I think there is" (as he pats my belly)...

"When I grow up, I'm going to be an octopus!"

"I love my pack and play, it's so snuggly!"
