Nana and Boppa came out to Indy for a visit this past weekend and we had a great time working on projects and finding fun things to do.
The boys got a kite from Gigi, but it was cold for the first few days of the visit, so they had to wait until it got warmer to go outside and test it out.
The boys went to the airport to pick up Nana:
I took the day off on Friday and we all headed to the Children's Museum and Reese was so excited to see Optimus Prime outside the museum.
Reese and Palmer posted as Transformers:
Reese, Palmer and Nana played with Transformers:
Reese, Nana and I checked out the National Geographic section of the museum and as he explored the "underwater" play structure, he held his breath the whole time :)
We all went to Mass Ave (Bru Burger) for dinner one night and got to play in a little park while we waited for a table.
Watching a video on Boppa's phone in the basement.
Reese and Palmer walked down the aisle at church waving palm branches on Palm Sunday.
We finally got to get out and fly the kite on Monday and Reese really got the hang of it!
The boys enjoying the park
Reese was really excited to be able to eat at the big table at Chick-fil-A with Nana
What trip would be complete without Reese and Boppa working on Star Wars Legos together?
Though we didn't get pictures of it, Nana and Boppa helped us redo the downstairs bathroom with a new light fixture, mirror and a fresh coat of paint in addition to a new shower curtain. Doug and Lindsay worked hard on repairing some grout on the kitchen floor and recoloring the rest of the grout to match.
We also all went out to my parents' house for brunch on Palm Sunday and had a really nice time hanging out with them.
We had a great time last weekend and can't wait until Nana and Boppa visit again!
Palmerisms:
He's been saying "That's a no!" or "That's a yes!" lately when we don't give him the answer he wants. For example, if he asks to watch a TV show and we say no, he'll say "That's a yes!"
Palmer and I were grocery shopping and we picked up a box of generic Cheez-its and he saw it and said "I like cheesey crappers!" (instead of crackers)
Reese has REALLY been into Star Wars lately so he's been taking about it incessently. Instead of R2D2, Palmer calls the robot "R D toe D toe"
We were asking Palmer what everyones' names were and we got to Lindsay. His response: "Mommy Allen Parker Williams!"
When Palmer hears a funny word (like Pickles, for example), he'll say: "Pickles? Ewwwww!"
