Weekend with Palmer [VIDEO]

This past weekend, Lindsay and I got to spend the whole weekend with Palmer. Reese went on his first road-trip with Bo and Cici up to Michigan for Cousin Elliot's 4th birthday and Palmer stayed at home with us.

This weekend was the first really nice weekend of the spring, so we went to the Zoo on Saturday and got to see some animals. Palmer has showed an interest in animals for quite a while now (he is obsessed with dogs and cats), so this was a really fun trip for him.

He got to see some Nemos in a tank

Palmer's favorite part of the trip was getting to touch a shark. I lifted him over and when he touched one he looked at me and said: "That was awesome".

Palmer has been singing "Who Let The Dogs Out" lately - He got it from Reese and I have no idea where Reese got it from - and at some point during the weekend he started singing "Who Let the Race Cars Out: Vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom!" We had to capture it on video:

We even went to a few restaurants while it was just the three of us. Palmer had a really good weekend and we enjoyed spending some one-on-one time with him.

Reese, of course, had a great time with Bo and Cici at Elliot's house and at his birthday party. Before he left on Saturday morning, He sat down to draw a picture of his family on his little Etch-A-Sketch so if he missed us, he could look at it and remember us.

(he drew and spelled it all on his own, even if he did draw his M upside down)

Thanks so much to Cici and Bo for taking Reese this past weekend! He had a blast!

Palmerisms:

Palmer has been breaking words apart and asking what the parts mean lately. He'll ask what "air" means and what "plane" means if he's thinking of an airplane. We were in the car this weekend and he said "What's a neck?", then "What's a flix?" - He apparently thinks Netflix is pronounced "Neck-flix"

We had just pulled into the garage from the zoo and were still sitting in the car and we were all laughing about something and Lindsay turned around to see Palmer while she was smiling. All of a sudden, Palmer stops and excitedly says: "Mom! You have your teeth out!"
