We haven't had much snow this season - we've only seen a couple snows of more than an inch this season - so we haven't had the opportunity to get out and play in the snow. The boys are pretty bummed about that, but we've found some other fun things to do over the past month.
Reese has been wanting a scarf for a while now, so back in January, he and Lindsay had a date to Jo-Ann's to get some fleece they could use to make a scarf out of.
Reese is really into Big Hero 6 right now. Of course he wanted Baymax fabric. He and Lindsay did a great job and he loves his scarf.
Lindsay and I even got to go out on a date night to Union 50 downtown on Mass Ave.
We watched some football and the boys helped the Colts all the way to the AFC Championship game.
Reese, in his scarf, reading a book to Palmer.
There have even been a few mild days, so the boys were able to get out in the back yard and play.
Reese's January Kiwi Crate included a chef hat and apron that he got to design and he's been really interested in being a chef ever since then.
The first big dish Reese helped me with was Brussels Sprouts with Bacon. He had a blast helping.
A pretty typical sight at our house:
Palmer has enjoyed dressing up and really likes his vet kit. "I have a diagnosis, Dad".
Reeseisms:
When we were in Cincinnati, we went to IKEA and while there, Reese sat down at one of the home offices they have set up in the store. We decided to pretend that he was at work and I was visiting. I sat down and told him I really needed to borrow some money for a house and I asked if I could have a loan.
Reese's response: "Well, if you want to be alone, I'll leave"
He's been saying "Of course!" as a response to many things lately.
Lindsay and Reese were snuggling in the basement in front of the space heater the other day and he looked up at her and said: "This is so romantic!"
Palmerisms:
Sometimes, instead of "thanks" he'll say "ganks"
I was changing Palmer's diaper the other day and all of a sudden he went into a monotone robot voice and said: "I am a robot. I'm going to eat you up. Chomp, chomp, chomp.
Palmer has been carrying books around with him lately saying: "This is my whole life!" We think he means it's the best book in the world or his favorite book at the moment, but he's only saying it about books.
The other day, he was laying down and he grabbed a Lightning McQueen toy camera and laid it next to him and he pretended to sleep (making snoring noises). Then he said it was his monitor. (Lindsay and I each have a monitor on our bedside tables for the boys.
