The Big Surprise Reveal

For the last several weeks we've been working our tails off on a project that we've wanted to tackle for a while but haven't gotten around to.  We wanted to refinish our upstairs (which we currently use as a guest room) and I got the crazy idea that it would be a great surprise for my parents.  Unfortunately I forgot how much work these things take especially while trying to write a thesis, finish a class and plan a birthday party....but it's all finished now and we're really happy with the results.  Plus my parents were completely surprised!

Jeremy and his dad built the bookshelves to replace the banister that wiggled.  We primed and repainted the entire room and trim.  The blue and tan checkered linoleum is the original floor

We had it carpeted and put in a new light fixture.  You can see what the old trim and doors looked like on back of the door above.
