This was a busy weekend at the Williams Household. Saturday was Lindsay's and my 5-year reunion at Taylor U. We headed up in the afternoon and enjoyed some Ivanhoe's shakes. Although I'm sure we each ate a week's worth of calories, it reminded us why we love that place so much!
We headed over to Taylor and took a walk around campus, seeing the new buildings and remembering some of our college memories. Here's a shot of Lindsay and Reese at the Bell Tower.
We headed over to the Kessler Center for our class reunion and it was great to see some friends we hadn't seen in a few years. There were a few others there who had kids about Reese's age, so it was good talking with some other new parents to see how things have been going for them and to show off Reese :)
Sunday was my birthday, so Lindsay and Reese surprised me with presents in bed. Reese got me a new book and helped me read it:
Later that morning we headed up to Lindsay's office at Butler to pick up a few books. It was great, because Reese and I hadn't yet seen her office. Reese really enjoyed seeing where Mommy worked and even typed a paper for her class:
That night, Lindsay surprised me with a dinner at Brugge Brasserie, an amazing Belgian restaurant in Broad Ripple. Lindsay got a crepe and I had a Mitrailette (Belgian sandwich) and we split some Pommes Frites (Belgian fries with great dipping sauces). I even tried a couple of their house-brewed beers. I really can't say how much I love Brugge and how great of a surprise it was. Morgan, our babysitter, stayed home with Reese, so it was our first night out on our own for a nice dinner since Reese was born.
When we got back, Reese helped me blow out my candles and we enjoyed some birthday desserts. What a great birthday weekend!
